Ms. Madsen is Of Counsel in the Denver office. She focuses her practice in the areas of employment, insurance bad faith and coverage, and professional liability defense. Ms. Madsen has defended clients in a variety of other civil litigation matters, including handling appeals in the Colorado state and federal courts. In addition to her litigation practice, she works with her clients to counsel on risk management practices for avoiding litigation and reducing the cost of litigation. Ms. Madsen enjoys working together with her clients to achieve the results they desire.

Ms. Madsen started her legal career with
the Colorado Court of Appeals as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Leonard
P. Plank and the Honorable Edwin G. Ruland. Before joining Vaughan &
DeMuro, she was a shareholder at a large Denver insurance defense litigation
firm. Ms. Madsen is a third generation Colorado native.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Business, Economics and the Law from
Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and her law degree from the
University of Colorado. Ms. Madsen is a member of the American, Colorado,
and Denver Bar Associations as well as the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association
and the Defense Research Institute. She currently serves as the Denver Bar
Association Representative to the Colorado Bar Association Board of Governors,
she serves as Director-at-Large for Colorado Healthcare Associated Risk
Managers, and she is a leader of a Girl Scout troop. |
